Let’s Talk Boots!

The seasons are changing and it’s time to say “see ya later” to your favorite pair of sandals, and hello to a cute pair of boots! As much of bummer it may be to see summer slowly slipping away, fall is the perfect time to step up your style and get into a cute sweater, jeans and of course, boots.

There’s a few essentials when it comes to rocking different looks in the fall time. Depending on whether or not you want jeans cuffed and sitting on top of boots, or jeans tucked into boots, you need a certain boot to complete that look.

When you’re looking to wear a cute pair of jeans cuffed at the bottom, look for a pair of heel booties to add some sass to your look. Heels booties are very wearable and easy to throw on with a lightweight sweater for a casual but put together fall look.

As the weather starts to get a little chilly, consider a pair of tall boots with jeans tucked in for a warmer feel. This look can also be paired with a lightweight sweater but is easy to convert to a winter outfit when the time comes by adding a jacket or a vest on top!

Boots are so versatile and are the perfect way to get you in the fall-feels!

What looks will you be rocking this season?

Prepping Lunches & Budgeting for Lunch

Quote: “Enjoy your lunch break”

Question: How can I eat well without spending too much money?

With school being just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about lunch. This year make a plan to not spend so much money on fast food. It is difficult, but there is a way.

Plan Ahead

Make an outline of the week including each day. Have columns which label main, fruits and veggies, and sides. You can plan out what to eat on the days you decide to pack lunch. To save up money eat out 1 to 2 times a week.

Preparing a Lunch

There are a variety of options you have for each type of food. Here are a few Ideas.

Main: Sandwich, Wraps, Leftovers

Fruits & Veggies: Grapes, Apples, Oranges, Bananas, Berries, Celery & Ranch, Cucumbers, etc.

Sides: Chips, Cookies, Granola bars, Pretzels, Yogurt, Crackers, etc.

Drink: Juice boxes, Bottled Water, Caprisun, Gatorade, Etc.

Put your lunches in a lunchbox or lunch sack. You should prepare your lunch the night before so you do not have to worry about it in the morning. This will make your life a lot easier by saving money and keeping you organized.

Jumping Into Fall Trends

Quote: “The joy of dressing is an art”

Question: “ What are the must have fashion staples for this fall”

The time is approaching for leggings, vests, jackets, and sweaters, which calls for shopping. We all do a bit of shopping before a new season begins to prepare ourselves for the climate change, and it is always fun to prepare for the season of pumpkin spice and everything nice. The staple items you need to include to your fall wardrobe this year will be listed down below.

1. Green Jacket

This staple item is a must for the fall season. You can piece this item with leggings, jeans, and scarves. It completes almost every fall outfit and the classic olive green color will have you rocking the fall shades.

2. Scarves

Throwing on a scarf takes your outfit to a new level. Scarves keep you warm and make it look like you tried a little extra to get ready. There are a variety of patterns and colors to perfect your outfit this season.

3. Boots

Leather boots, ugg boots, booties, all boots are welcomed for the fall season. Leather boots always go good with jeans and leggings. With Ugg boots you can dress them up or down. To dress them down wear your ugg boots with a hoodie and leggings, on the other hand to dress them up you can pair the boots up with a green jacket and a scarf making you look a bit dressed up. Booties are a must for fall dresses. Overall fall is the main season to wear your boots no matter the type of boot.

4. Cardigans

Cardigans pair up with scarves to make a perfect fall outfit plus both fashion pieces keep you nice and warm. The great thing about cardigans is that they go well with jeans, leggings, dresses, and much more.

Flannels compliment everyone, they go well with leggings, boots, jeans, and are super comfy.

Creating the Perfect Plum Pink Smokey Eye

Quote: “Yesterday’s eyeliner can be today’s Smokey eye if you believe in yourself”

Question: How to create a Smokey eye that isn’t too dramatic?

Fact: A perfect Smokey eye can create a youthful, alluring and sexy look for your eyes.

From cut crease to natural shadows, the smokey eye look is the most alluring masterpiece. Not only is it super easy to create and perfect, this look can be changed and contrasted with tons of color schemes and makeup genres. If you’re going for more of a dramatic runway look just add darker browns or blacks in the outer creases of your eyelids. Whether you’re planning on attending a family event or going out with friends, the Smokey eye can range from natural to glam in the snap of a finger.

Step 1: (Optional) Apply a cream or liquid primer over your eyelids to create a strong and smooth base for your eye shadow.  – Urban Decay Eye Fix 20$

Step 2: Using a more compact eye shadow brush, apply a tan base to upper eyelid and sweep the powder close to the outer crease for more of a dramatic look. Make sure to tap excess eye shadow before apply to prevent non-blended shadows. – Anastasia Modern Renaissance 40$

Step 3: With a fluffier brush, on the eyelid platform, choose a darker pink or plum color to create a contrast for your smokey eye. (“Love Letter” or “Red Ochre” in Modern Renaissance palette)

Step 4: Sweep a brown or black shadow in the eye shadow crease towards the outer part of your eye with a fluffy brush. Ladies, don’t forget to blend, blend, blend! This simple step can make your Smokey eye go from a ten to one. (“Cyprus Umber” in Modern Renaissance)

Step 5: Then with a very compact brush add a sparkly shadows to the center of your eyelid. Make sure not to apply to much, we want to be able to see your contrast and blend job with the other shadows. (“Vermeer” or “Primavera” in Modern Renaissance)

Step 6: Apply a tan shadow on the lower eyelid to connect your shadow from the outer crease. You can also add black eyeliner to your water line if needed.

Step 7: (Optional) Apply mascara and falsies for a finished touch. – Ardell Lashes 5$

The smokey eye look has become a popular sported makeup look for many celebrities, and even though they pay someone to create their makeup looks, by simply following these instructions the blending and smudging needed for this look will become natural over time.
